Stories of volunteers and opportunities to join our team in sharing smiles and gifts.

Viet Artisans is a social enterprise that provides free vocational training and job placement for rural and disadvantaged women in the Mekong Delta. Volunteers play a meaningful part in that mission, helping to bring handmade products to life and welcome visitors to our craft centre.

Viet Artisans is a social enterprise rooted in the belief that beautiful handmade goods can carry a deeper purpose. Set in the Mekong Delta, the organisation offers free vocational training and job placement for rural and disadvantaged women, turning traditional craft skills into sustainable livelihoods. Every product, from notebooks and cards to tote bags and passport holders, is carefully made by hand, reflecting hours of patient work and a genuine sense of pride. The result is a collection of corporate and retail gifts that feel personal, thoughtful, and connected to the people who shape them, sharing both gifts and smiles with the wider world.

Volunteers are welcomed as part of the journey that brings each handmade piece to life. From helping at the craft centre to supporting day-to-day activities, they contribute skills, energy, and curiosity while learning about bookbinding, silkscreening, and other traditional techniques. Working alongside the artisans offers a rare chance to see how design, patience, and care come together in every product. Many visitors describe the experience as eye-opening, leaving with a stronger appreciation for the women behind the work and a meaningful connection to a community built on shared effort and mutual respect.

Stories from past volunteers capture the heart of the programme. Some come for a short summer internship, others join organised tour visits or longer placements, but all share reflections about the warmth of the team and the rhythm of life at the centre. They speak of meals shared together, quiet moments by the Mekong, and the satisfaction of seeing a finished notebook, card, or tote bag ready for a customer. These first-hand accounts paint an honest picture of the volunteer experience, highlighting both the learning opportunities and the personal growth that come from giving time to a social mission.

Beyond volunteering, the organisation runs events and contests that invite wider participation in its story. Gatherings at the craft centre bring together artisans, customers, designers, and supporters, creating space to celebrate new collections and seasonal concepts while raising awareness about vocational training in rural Vietnam. Visitors can also explore the lookbook, follow updates through newsletters and social channels, and discover the lookbook stories behind popular products. Each event is designed to feel welcoming and inclusive, encouraging more people to take part, whether by attending, sharing the story, or simply choosing handmade gifts that support a thoughtful cause.
